Hey, gang! Short note. All the line art is completed and we are moving on to colors now with CF Lum whose work you've seen before on XenoGeist. Once we have a non-spoilery page colored we will share it here! We believe we will have a finished issue by mid-Feb at the latest.

Lots of announcements!
6 months ago – Mon, Oct 13, 2025 at 12:33:04 PM

We have some important updates to share about Bobby Jo’s journey and what’s ahead!

First, after much thought, we’ve made the decision to part ways with artist Michael Mayne. This decision comes after several delays in production and communication challenges. However, we’re happy to share that this transition happened on good terms. Michael remains an incredibly talented artist and an even greater all round guy, and we continue to believe in him. Sometimes, the pace we need at Bad Bug doesn’t align with every artist’s workflow, and we completely understand that.

Replacing Michael was no easy task, but after careful review, we’re thrilled to announce that Marcos Almeida, known for his work on Murder Mary, will be stepping in to continue the series. Marcos has done an amazing job of carefully following Michael’s style, ensuring a seamless transition as we wrap up this chapter in Bobby Jo’s story. See his work in progress below this announcement.

And speaking of “continue,” you may have noticed that word in the last paragraph—and that’s exactly right! The fifth and final issue in the first story arc of Bobby Jo is not the end. While this particular threat and adventure comes to a close, Bobby Jo and Merle have plenty of other otherworldly problems in Appalachia to worry about. We can’t wait to take you on more adventures with her and Merle in the near future!

Thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm. We’re so excited for what’s to come!

Thank you!

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to send out a short note thanking all of you for your continued support of Bad Bug and the finale of Bobby Jo. Michael Mayne, the series artist, has disappeared entirely, meaning he's in his cave working on all the interior art. We will be rather quiet until the book is complete, but we will continue to give monthly updates until fulfillment begins.

It's certainly sad to see Bobby Jo wrap up with this final issue, but we're excited for you to have the completed story in your hands as we move on to more exciting projects.

Thanks for everything!

-Mike
